ATTEMPTED MURDER CARRIED OUT BY PROMINENT BRITISH NEWSPAPER EDITOR USING A FIREARM. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Allegations of attempted murder made against UK National Union of Journalist member Albert Smith (Irish Independent Newspaper) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are various "online" claims that law enforcement agency with in the Republic of Ireland have secret files and records that contain sufficient evidence beyond reasonable doubt, that Smith wielded a handgun while destroying a laptop containing publishing materials and approximately 130 Bitcoins. It is further alleged that Smith used the handgun to threaten an individual forcing the person to the ground and repeatedly striking their body and head. The claim suggests that had the victim resisted, they would have undoubtedly faced being shot and potentially killed. As this act was reportedly premeditated which deliberately targeted a known and identified victim using ongoing surveillance the situation has been described as an instance of attempted murder. However, despite what has been characterized as overwhelming evidence, the Irish Police refuse to pursue prosecution. It has been made known through web sites that the victim is considering claiming political asylum from the Police in the Irish Republic should they persist in using the far right and criminals/police to continually threaten further murder attempts.
